Renting the studio
Terms, conditions and house rules
What applies to your stay at 7 rue Halévy, from booking to check-out. Version in force on 2 August 2026.
If you booked through Airbnb, Booking.com or another platform, please refer to that platform's terms first. The house rules below apply in every case.
1. Who rents the studio
Haliviera is the trading name of a sole trader registered with the companies register of the Alpes-Maritimes. The studio is at 7 rue Halévy, 06000 Nice, France.
The flat is let furnished and equipped: furniture, bedding, crockery, sheets, towels, coffee and tea are provided. These terms apply to bookings made on haliviera.com. If you booked through a third-party platform, that platform's terms apply first, together with the house rules below.
2. Use of the flat
The studio is let for a holiday, a business trip or a study stay. No professional activity may take place inside: no filming, no services, no receiving clients.
The booking is strictly personal. Subletting and lending the flat to third parties are not allowed.
3. Booking, price and payment
A booking becomes firm once payment is received and the confirmation e-mail is sent. The price depends on the dates, the length of stay and the number of guests.
Booking direct on this site. The stay can be cancelled free of charge, with a full refund, up to seven days before the stay begins. After that no cancellation is possible and the stay remains payable. These conditions appear in the summary before payment and in the confirmation e-mail.
Booking through a platform. Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Abritel each apply their own cancellation conditions, their own pricing rules and their own service fees. Those conditions govern your booking, not this article. Some of those platforms also offer reduced non-refundable rates, which allow no cancellation at all, whatever the notice. The rule that applies is stated on your booking confirmation.
The cleaning and linen package is compulsory and appears in that same summary. It covers a full clean and fresh linen. Extra cleans can be requested during the stay, at the same rate.
The tourist tax is collected on behalf of Métropole Nice Côte d'Azur. It is calculated per person per night, at the rate in force, and shown separately.
The flat sleeps two guests. The number of people staying must match the booking exactly: the tourist tax is calculated per person per night, and the supplies prepared before arrival, towels, linen, tea and coffee, are counted for that number. Any additional person must be declared before arrival. Booking for fewer people than actually stay is a breach of contract.
A few days before arrival, a copy of the main guest's identity document may be requested.
4. Security deposit
A card hold or security deposit may be requested after booking. It is not charged if no damage is found at check-out.
Any damage, loss or disappearance, deliberate or not, may give rise to compensation based on the cost of repair or replacement. The deposit is used first; if the amount is higher, an additional invoice is sent to the guest.
5. Cancellation by the guest
Up to seven days before arrival, cancellation is free and everything paid is refunded in full. The deadline counts from the arrival date, at the scheduled arrival time.
After that, the booking can no longer be cancelled and the stay remains payable, whether it is used or not.
Any cancellation goes through the channel you booked with: the contact form on this site for a direct booking, the platform's messaging for Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo or Abritel.
Non-refundable rates. Platforms sometimes offer a reduced price in exchange for a booking that cannot be cancelled. If you chose such an offer, its rules apply instead of these: no cancellation and no refund is possible, whatever the notice. It is stated on your booking confirmation.
Platform bookings. The cancellation conditions of Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo and Abritel take precedence over this article for bookings made with them, as set out in article 3.
6. Cancellation by Haliviera
Haliviera may cancel a booking in case of force majeure, of an incident making the flat unavailable, or of a serious breach of these terms. Sums already paid are then refunded in full, with no further compensation.
7. Arrival
The flat is available from 4 pm and until 1 am. Check-in is self-service: instructions and the access code are sent the day before by message.
An earlier arrival is sometimes possible if the flat is free; it must be requested in advance and cannot be guaranteed.
Please report by message any issue with cleanliness or equipment within twenty-four hours of your arrival.
8. Occupants and visitors
The flat is let for the exact number of guests stated in the contract, up to two people. Undeclared people may not sleep there.
Occasional visitors are possible with our prior agreement.
9. Quiet and neighbours
The building is lived in all year round. Please keep noise down between 10 pm and 8 am, inside and on the balcony.
Parties, events and gatherings are not allowed. Breaking this rule ends the stay immediately.
10. Care of the flat
Guests take care of the flat and return it in good condition. Kitchen utensils, oil, spices and cleaning products are available.
Furniture must not be moved. No alteration, decoration or installation is allowed.
11. Internet
The wifi password is confidential and must not be shared outside the travelling party. Guests remain responsible for the content accessed and the use made of the connection during the stay.
12. Guest liability
Throughout the stay, the guest is fully responsible for the flat, its contents and the use made of them, including by the people they invite in. They hold it in custody within the meaning of articles 1242 and following of the French civil code.
This responsibility covers, among other things: damage to furniture, equipment, surfaces and fittings; breakage or loss of crockery, linen, keys or access badges; water damage caused by an unattended leak, a badly connected appliance, or an overflowing bath, sink or shower; electrical damage; fire and the start of a fire, including from a cigarette, a candle or an appliance left running; nuisance and damage caused to neighbours or to the common parts of the building.
Damage is repaired or replaced like for like, or reimbursed at replacement value, labour included. Where applicable, the nights during which the flat cannot be let while repairs take place are added.
The guest alone is responsible for accidents occurring in the flat or on the balcony through their own carelessness, that of their companions, or a failure to follow the safety instructions. Haliviera cannot be held responsible for household accidents, falls, injuries or theft during the stay, except for a proven fault in the installation attributable to it.
Children must never be left alone in the flat or on the balcony.
13. Incidents, reporting and insurance
Any accident, breakage or theft must be reported to the host without delay, and at the latest before departure. Damage that is concealed and discovered after check-out remains the guest's responsibility and may be invoiced, with photographs and supporting documents.
Guests must hold public liability insurance. It is up to them to check with their insurer that their home or travel policy includes holiday rental cover, which covers damage caused in a property rented for a holiday. A certificate may be requested.
Haliviera insures the building and its furniture, but neither guests' personal belongings nor their liability. Valuables remain in the guest's sole custody.
If the flat is left in a state requiring exceptional cleaning, the extra hours and the resulting unavailability are invoiced.
14. Safety
The flat has smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and a motion sensor used only to manage changeover periods and to trigger an alarm in case of intrusion. There is no camera inside.
Windows and door must be locked when you go out. Electrical appliances must not be left running unattended. Children must not be left alone in the flat.
15. Non-smoking
Smoking and vaping are forbidden inside. Smoking on the balcony is tolerated with the door closed, using the ashtray provided. Please do not drop cigarette ends in the garden or on the street.
16. Pets
Pets are not allowed, with the exception of guide and assistance dogs.
17. Waste
Sorting bins are provided in the kitchen. Glass, packaging and general waste go separately to the bin room on the ground floor. Please do not leave waste in the flat when you go.
18. Outdoor space
The balcony is for your exclusive use. Barbecues and any open-flame appliance are forbidden, inside and out. Other parts of the building and the roofs are not accessible.
19. Emergencies
Your host is reachable by message and by phone throughout the stay.
Emergency numbers in France: 112 European number, 18 fire brigade, 17 police, 15 ambulance, 114 for deaf and hard-of-hearing callers. In case of fire, the assembly point is in front of the building entrance.
20. Departure
The flat must be vacated before 10 am. Please leave the access badges on the table, wash up, and take the bins down to the ground-floor room.
A later departure may be granted depending on the schedule, on request and sometimes for a supplement. An inventory is carried out after every departure.
21. Breaches of the rules
In case of a breach, Haliviera may end the stay without refund, keep all or part of the security deposit, invoice replacements and extra cleaning hours, and report criminal acts to the authorities.
22. Personal data
How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy. No data is sold, rented or passed on for commercial purposes.
23. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If something goes wrong, please write to us first: most situations are settled in a few messages.
Failing an amicable agreement, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge, or the European online dispute resolution platform. The French courts have jurisdiction.
24. Changes to these terms
Haliviera may change these terms at any time. The version that applies is the one in force on the day of booking, attached to your confirmation e-mail.
